Actalent in Middletown, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure accurate specimen handling. The role requires comfort with pediatric and infant draws and strict adherence to procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience, strong administrative skills, and the ability to explain venipuncture clearly. This contract-to-hire position is fully onsite with a varied schedule, and travel within the state may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in blood drawing.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and infant draws.
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Bilingual preferred.

• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and provide laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Work Environment

This role offers the opportunity to travel within the state, providing a change of scenery for candidates who enjoy it. The work schedule includes Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-7pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9:30am-7pm, Friday 9am-5pm, and every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Appropriate attire is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
