Job summary

Life Line Screening is a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, serving millions over 30+ years. As a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant in a mobile community setting, you will travel to different locations each day and perform medically appropriate venipuncture and related duties to support customers’ health insights.

You will join an established team, cross-train across Medical Assistant tasks, and contribute to high-volume screenings while ensuring safety,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NPA, NHA or AMT).
• Cross-train to support Medical Assistant duties.

Responsibilities

• Cross train and participate in all core Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration and Laboratory screening areas.
• Review participant records for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct Venipuncture and finger-sticks as scheduled.
• Monitor patients for reactions and ensure sample quality.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and high-quality customer service throughout the process.
• Oversee sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients.
• Properly package and ship specimens to central lab as applicable.

In Life Line Screening’s community event-based setting, you will be an integral team member of a fast-paced work environment, working in a different location each day. Life Line Screening is a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, having screened over 11 million customers in over 30+ years. As part of our trained clinical team, you will perform medically appropriate screenings that give customers valuable insights into their health.

We are currently looking for skilled Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants to join our community healthcare team. Ideal candidates are currently working in the area of phlebotomy with a minimum of 1-year hands on venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting and have willingness to cross-train as a Medical Assistant

What you’ll do as a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant at Life Line Screening:

• Cross train and participate in allcore Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration and Laboratory screening areas
• Review participant records for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct Venipuncture and finger-sticks, where scheduled
• Monitor patients for reactions as well as ensure the quality of the sample
• Ensure patient confidentiality and comfortability while meeting customer service expectations throughout entire process
• Oversee and ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients
• Properly package and ship specimens to central lab on a daily basis, where applicable

What you'll need to be successful at Life Line Screening:

• Extensive work experience with customer-facing Medical Assistant and phlebotomy duties
• Precision phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 1 year of experience with adult venipuncture
• Experienced with centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes using transfer devices
• Skilled in inpatient or outpatient draw experience (hospital, nursing home, doctor’s office traveling phlebotomist, or draw center, etc.)
• Desire to provide unparalleled customer service
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
• Strength in teamwork & collaboration; sharing responsibilities driving the company van, loading, and unloading equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Certification in phlebotomy from either the ASCP, NPA, NHA or AMT is preferred
