Job description

Job Title: Phlebotomist, Long Term Care

Join Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories as a Phlebotomist, Long Term Care.

Job Requirements:

  1. Using appropriate phlebotomy techniques, drive to Long Term Care clients and private homes to collect specimens from patients and enter data into the computer system.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Completion of an external phlebotomy program including clinical experience and at least 12 months of regular daily phlebotomy responsibilities, including a minimum of 100 draws, OR completion of Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories Phlebotomy School including clinical experience and at least 6 months of similar responsibilities and draws.
  3. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of full-time experience with phlebotomy, including at least 100 draws.
  4. Proficiency in Windows-based computer skills and clerical functions such as telephone, email, pagers, copying, and faxing.
  5. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and a Department of Motor Vehicle record meeting Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories’ Vehicle Liability Policy requirements.
  6. Map reading and wayfinding skills throughout the Greater Milwaukee area.
