Specialty: Primary Care-Adult and a variety of other specialties

Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift (Full-Time hours between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Main Location: Physicians Supported

Employee Type: Willing to consider a Phlebotomist (Certified or on-the-job trained) or a Medical Assistant to fill this position

Desired Experience:

  • Demonstrates ability to accurately follow established office and laboratory procedures.
  • Organizes work to minimize patient waiting time during specimen collection.
  • Performs blood collection duties promptly to ensure test result availability.
  • Provides appropriate patient instructions and performs specimen collection as directed by physicians.
  • Labels all specimens with patient details, collection time, and test information correctly.
  • Processes specimens timely, including centrifuging, preparing for reference labs, aliquoting, refrigerating, or STAT notifications.
  • Collects blood samples in appropriate tubes.
  • Assists nursing staff with specimen collection if needed.
  • Handles calls from healthcare professionals and laboratories.
  • Manages inventory and supplies.
  • Maintains a positive, caring image with patients and staff.
  • Respects patient confidentiality and exercises discretion.
  • Prioritizes tasks effectively.
  • Follows safety and infection control policies diligently.
  • Must demonstrate predictable and consistent attendance.
