Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to perform specimen collection and processing under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Department Manager. Responsibilities align with Laboratory policies and hospital standards.

Ideal candidates have CPT1 certification, current BLS, and are prepared to complete CPI within 30 days of hire; two years hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital experience preferred, but not required.
• General education level (high school).
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate as required.
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.

Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is responsible for specimen collection and processing and is guided by the policies and procedures of the Laboratory department and the hospital.

Job Duties, Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Two years prior hospital experience preferred, but not required
• General education level (high school)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate, which meets the California Department of Health, Lab field services
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
