Position Overview

40 Hours, Evenings/Nights, 9p-5:30a, Every Other Weekend, Full-Time, Benefit Eligible

Responsibilities:

1. Lab Registration: Register and order specimens in LIS, verify and enter patient info, generate barcode labels.
2. Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures and therapeutic phlebotomies, monitor workflow.
3. Specimen Processing/Send-Outs: Centrifuge, aliquot, label specimens, prepare and send to referral labs.
4. Microbiology: Handle plant specimens, maintain supplies, record processes accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy training or certification preferred
• Knowledge of Meditech 6.0
• Dexterity and ability to follow procedures
• Good communication and clerical skills
