An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join their team. This role welcomes new graduates and requires a high school diploma along with a California Phlebotomist license. You will perform vital tasks such as arterial punctures, specimen processing, and ensuring a clean laboratory environment. Performs arterial punctures when CPT II is acquired. Documents specimen collection and tests ordered in the LIS. Has knowledge of test requirements. Processes specimens for in-house and send-out testing. Assists manager and clinical scientists in Laboratory as needed. Helps ensure an orderly and sanitary environment in the laboratory.
NEW GRADS WELCOME: High school graduate or equivalent with California Phlebotomist license (CPT I) required. Certified Phlebotomy Tech II (CPT II) license required within one year (1040 hours) of employment and training will be provided. Performs venipunctures, finger, and heel sticks. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interacts professionally and tactfully with patients, staff, and the general public. Basic computer skills required.
