Job summary

CCRM Fertility in Edina, MN seeks a Clinical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and related lab duties. You will coordinate patient charges and assist in the lab workflow, reporting to the Clinical Laboratory Manager.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, minimum 1 year experience, excellent customer service, and strong attention to detail. You will work in a professional clinical setting within a national fertility network and support regulatory compliance across labs.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification required.
• One year phlebotomy experience required.
• High School diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy protocols obtained through a phlebotomy training program including practical training.
• Working knowledge of laboratory software.
• Minimum of 200 documented, successful blood draws required.
• Must have excellent phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides phlebotomy services to patients per established procedures, including proper identification, preparation, specimen collection, and labeling.
• Confirms patient demographic information and corrects inaccuracies per protocol.
• Routes billing information and ensures correct billing practices.
• Processes samples per protocol, including transport and storage conditions, and data transmission.
• Maintains clean work area and follows OSHA bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
• Ensures adequate phlebotomy supplies and manages inventory.
