The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Phlebotomy certificate (or related certification), and 0–1 year of experience, with current BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certificate or related certification preferred; on-the-job training acceptable.
• 0-1 year experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA or American Red Cross; recertification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; medical terminology background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and register specimens from all age groups.
• Deliver results to providers in the hospital laboratory.
• Contribute to general operations of the laboratory.
• Process specimens and coordinate with reference labs and other departments.
• Maintain data entry and effective communication with patients and staff.
