Job summary

You may travel to nursing homes and local businesses for phlebotomy services and health fairs; BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 3 months. High School diploma required; prior office and phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer previous office and phlebotomy experience.
• Must be proficient in drawing all ages of patients within 60 days of beginning this position.
• BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties in the laboratory including drawing blood, scheduling appointments, data entry and record keeping.
• Prepare specimens and requisitions for reference lab tests and report results.
• Maintain inventory, equipment, and cleaning.
• Travel to nursing homes in town for phlebotomy services, as well as traveling to businesses for health fairs.
• Receive physician requests and collect blood specimens by venipuncture and other methods as ordered by a physician.
