Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Inpatient Phlebotomist for Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. This per diem position offers night shifts (10pm-6:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires phlebotomy training and CPR certification.

You will collect and label specimens, log tests, and support laboratory operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by AHA or Red Cross.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Hourly Pay Rate

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Details

Position: Phlebotomist -Inpatient

Location: Edward Hospital 801 S. Washington St. Naperville, IL.

Contract Type: PER DIEM (As needed)

Shift: NIGHT shifts available: 10pm- 6:30am, 10pm-2am. Rotating weekend and holidays required.

Responsibilities

Phlebotomist I Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Starting rate: $19.25/hr.

Phlebotomist II Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
