Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist Inpatient for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This part-time role is 0.5 FTE (about 20 hrs/week) with 5am-1:30pm shifts, Monday-Friday and alternating weekends/holidays.

You will prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing, perform pre-analytical processing, and register patient information in the system. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy training program with 100 clinical hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Phlebotomy II requires 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing under supervision.
• Perform pre-analytical processing and order specimens into the system.
• Register patient information and order tests in the computer system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by laboratory staff.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Phlebotomist Inpatient
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital 155 E. Brush Hill Road Elmhurst, IL.
• Part Time: 0.5 FTE (about 20 hrs./week)
• Hours: 5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday with alternating weekends and holiday rotation

What will you do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

What you will need

Phlebotomist I

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours Starting rate: $19.25/hr.

Phlebotomist II

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
