Phlebotomist - Inland Empire

Department: Quality - Clinical Operations

Reporting To: Franklin Quach
Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Spanish-speaking Phlebotomist to support our Quality - Clinical Operations team at Astrana Health. This role will report to a nurse practitioner and will focus on closing care gaps for our patients throughout the San Gabriel Valley through performing in-home and in-clinic blood draws, as well as assisting in health screenings through the operation of various medical devices. You will be serving patients across the Inland Empire.

What You'll Do

  • Support the clinical operations with in-home or in-clinic visits
  • Perform blood draws and drop off specimens at contracted lab sites
  • Operate various clinical devices (A1C, eye exams, osteoporosis screening device)
  • Assist with Health Risk Assessments or other pre-visit support for Annual Wellness Visits
  • Provide quality patient care support to patients in their homes or in clinic
  • Complete scheduled visits in a timely manner, staying organized and managing time effectively
  • Document as necessary in EMR
  • Support clinical operations team with any ad-hoc tasks in an effort to close quality care gaps for patients
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Phlebotomist Licensure, minimum of CPTI
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to independently pursue and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Resourceful and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and a collaborative mindset. Always eager to contribute, learn, and grow-without ego.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position. Hours are M-F 9am-5pm.
  • This position will require working in patient homes throughout the Inland Empire region.
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $22/hr - $28/hr. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
