Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 4101 Technology Avenue in New Albany, IN. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for tests and ensure accurate data entry while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or training; minimal experience may be acceptable. Opportunities exist for travel to additional sites and potential PST incentive plan participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
