Job summary

St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, capillary sticks, and various specimen collections under supervision. You will assist the health care team with safe transport and accurate reporting of patient results using Meditech.

Requirements include a phlebotomy training certificate or MA, BLS/CPR certification within 7 days of hire, and a minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience or on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training certificate or MA preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 7 days of hire.
• Completion of phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality venipuncture and capillary sticks per SOPs.
• Collect urine and other specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Ensure accurate data entry and timely transport of specimens.
• Maintain organized, clean work area and stock levels.
