Job summary

Labcorp in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and enter patient data accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing billing information, preparing specimens for testing, maintaining logs, and delivering excellent customer service. Travel to additional sites may be required and overtime flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
