Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States, 37203

Shift: M-F 8A-5P - MUST BE FLEXIBLE

Duration: 2 months

This position requires heavy travel across a large area of TN, from Portland to Lawrenceburg, and between Cookeville and Dixon. Candidates must have reliable transportation and will be reimbursed for mileage. Flexibility and punctuality are essential as floaters travel between multiple sites daily.

Summary

The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents our company to patients, drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional environment. The PSR III interacts directly with patients, establishing trust and confidence, and performs duties with attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence. Assignments may vary between doctors' offices, patient service centers, or as dictated by business needs.

Under supervision, the PSR III performs daily activities accurately and timely, maintains safety standards, and follows established procedures for specimen collection and processing. Responsibilities include verifying patient demographic information, labeling tubes in the patient's presence, maintaining records, and promoting a positive image to patients and staff.

Job Requirements

3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
8. Willingness to travel across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• At least two years in a travel role preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
