Job Duties
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions following training.
- Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments as required, following policies.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient-facing duties such as inventory management, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and emailing.
- Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs.
- Complete training courses timely, online and in person.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
Work Experience
- 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience preferred.
