Job Description

As a Phlebotomist III, you will perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. Accurate data entry of patient information, preparation of specimens for testing, and maintaining logs of patient and specimen information are essential duties. Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately and timely.
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in phlebotomy.
  • Ability to draw blood using straight needles on patients of all ages.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hard sticks and needles, urine, and thyroid testing.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Detail-oriented with good experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and data entry.

Work Environment

The position is based at a large location in Cartersville, GA, operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. The role involves performing 20-50 draws per day on patients of all ages, working collaboratively with a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
