Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Corpus Christi, TX, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The role includes collecting specimens, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced lab setting.

Requirements include at least three years of phlebotomy experience, data-entry ability, and willingness to work weekends and overtime. California/ Nevada/ Washington certifications are noted as preferred in some contexts.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Must be flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies and maintain logs and statistics.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
