Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Mckinney, TX. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $22.35+ per hour, with bonus eligibility based on performance and organizational factors.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test/client information using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email use.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with departmental policies.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
