Job summary

Talentify seeks a Phlebotomist II for its Knoxville, TN location to join a Medical Research client. You will draw high-quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and explain procedures to patients with professionalism and care.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and accuracy, leadership in process excellence, and maintaining records in a safe, professional environment. HS diploma and phlebotomy training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Direct patient contact with trust-building explanations of procedures and safe, accurate blood collection.
• Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Maintains required records and documentation.
