Job summary

Intermountain Health's Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado seeks a Phlebotomist to accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment.

You will perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections, adhere to safety regs, and communicate procedures with patients and families while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Preferred.
• Twelve months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor, Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a professional medical environment.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety regulations.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and family members.
• Participate in annual projects, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take on-call shifts and holiday rotations as needed.
• Assist with downtime planning and supportive laboratory tasks.
