Qualifications

  • Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
  • Administer oral solutions as trained.
  • Research test information, verify orders, and use lab systems for data entry and billing where required.
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.

Job description

Phlebotomist II Part‑Time – Voorhees, NJ
Monday to Thursday 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Pay range: $23.22 - $27.58 / hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions according to established training.
  • Research test/client information, confirm, and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
  • Navigate a computer and accurately enter data – a requirement for success in this role.
  • Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order.
  • Perform all non‑patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
  • Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance logs and temperature logs.
  • Complete online and in‑person training courses in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Three years phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
