Position Details

Phlebotomist II Part-Time - The Woodlands, TX - Monday-Friday 8:30AM-12:00PM (Rotational Weekends)

Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions considered for medical and religious reasons with a conditional offer.
• Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
• Effective communication in English.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $20.52+ per hour, based on skills and experience. Eligible for performance bonuses.

• Part-time employees (up to 29 hours/week) are eligible for vacation, health/flex time, holidays, 401(k), education assistance, wellness programs, and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures, including drug screens, biometric, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions.
• Research and verify test/client information using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, prepare for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with data compilation and submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
