Position Details

Location: Bangor, ME
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Rotational Weekends), 5:00AM-9:00PM
Pay Range: Minimum of $19.72+ per hour

Responsibilities

1. Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
2. Administer oral solutions as trained.
3. Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
4. Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
5. Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments following policies.
6. Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
7. Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email communication.
8. Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
9. Assist with data compilation and submission as needed.
10. Maintain phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs.
11. Complete training courses timely.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
