Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Austell, GA, on-call to collect specimens, manage labeling and processing, and support patient-related workflows. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, precision in data entry, and the ability to work on-call shifts including weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and prefer phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders and client/test information using lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
