Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Folsom, PA seeks a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with rotating weekends. The role offers pay from $23.20 per hour with eligibility for annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

As a Phlebotomist II you will perform blood draws, verify orders, enter data, and maintain logs with attention to accuracy. Requirements include at least three years of phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and emailing.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
