Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary specimens across inpatient and outpatient settings, following SOPs and aseptic technique. Responsibilities include bedside testing, LIS functions, and training staff or students.

High school Diploma or GED and at least 6 months phlebotomy experience are required; a Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate is preferred. This is an hourly, full-time position with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year phlebotomy experience required.
• At least 6 months phlebotomy experience required.
• Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course.

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and capillary specimens across inpatient and outpatient settings using SOPs and aseptic technique.
• Perform bedside testing.
• Perform LIS functions.
• Provide instruction to students and personnel.
• Perform laboratory duties as requested by the Manager.
