Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Gainesville, VA seeks a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range is $23.20–$24.90 per hour. This full-time role includes benefits from day one and opportunities for annual incentive bonuses.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, order verification, and specimen processing. Requires 3+ years phlebotomy and high school diploma; phlebotomy cert preferred. English communication required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communications.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain IDs and enter billing info, collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Adhere to policies and procedures; assist with statistics and data entry.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and logs (temperature, maintenance).
• Complete trainings timely.
