Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Old Bridge, NJ, with a Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule. The role offers pay between $24.50 and $26.25 per hour and includes opportunities for annual bonus compensation based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and using lab systems to verify orders. Requirements include three years of phlebotomy experience and HS diploma; certifications preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics submission and maintain phlebotomy logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
