Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Bowie, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday day shift (8:30 AM–4:30 PM) with rotational weekends. The role emphasizes specimen collection, data entry, and accurate order verification.

You will work with lab systems, verify billing details, and maintain logs while following procedures. A minimum of three years phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test/client information and confirm orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required according to policy.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties like inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related documentation on schedule.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
