Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Chicago, IL, to collect specimens and perform related duties in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires accurate data entry and adherence to procedures, with opportunities for skill development and career growth.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays. A competitive hourly rate plus performance bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard and data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related documentation.
• Complete training courses in a timely manner.
