Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshooting, training and workflow improvements.
• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, maintain data, and decontaminate.
• Collect and store specimens; clearly explain venipuncture process to patients.
• Match orders to requisitions; label tubes; centrifuge; split and freeze specimens as required.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and transport to preserve integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and relay lab results to inquiries.
