Job summary

TalentBurst seeks a Phlebotomist II in Raleigh, NC for a 5+ month contract. The role focuses on drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient trust in a fast-paced setting.

The PSR II will interact directly with patients, verify demographics, handle documentation, and work across patient service centers or in-office locations as needed. Flexibility for weekends and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Verify patient demographics post-venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled correctly.
• Work across multiple locations as needed and maintain a safe, professional environment.
