Job Duties include:

  • Collect specimens following established procedures, including drug screens, biometric, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions as trained.
  • Research test/client information, verify orders using lab systems, contact clients, and utilize approved tools.
  • Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
  • Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as per policies.
  • Process specimens: label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare for transport.
  • Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing.
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist in compiling and submitting statistics and data.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs timely, such as maintenance and temperature logs.
  • Complete training courses online and in-person on schedule.
  • Travel to additional locations as needed.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

  • One to three years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience preferred.
