Job Duties
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions as trained.
  • Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
  • Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
  • Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments following policies.
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing.
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with data compilation and submission.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance, temperature logs).
  • Complete training courses online and in person.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
Work Experience
  • 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail/service preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
