Job Duties
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions according to training.
  • Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
  • Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
  • Obtain identification, accurately enter billing info, and collect payments following policies.
  • Process specimens: label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare for transport as required.
  • Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitize, file, answer phones, and email as needed.
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs timely, such as maintenance and temperature logs.
  • Complete training courses online and in person on schedule.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
