Job Duties include:

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
  • Administer oral solutions following training
  • Research test/client info, verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools
  • Navigate computers and accurately enter data
  • Obtain ID, enter billing info, and collect payments as required, following policies
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport
  • Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist with statistics and data submission
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (e.g., maintenance, temperature logs)
  • Complete training courses on time
  • Travel to additional sites as needed

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
