Job Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams
  • Administer oral solutions as trained
  • Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems
  • Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data
  • Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation
  • Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Assist with data compilation and submission
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs timely
  • Complete training courses online and in-person
  • Travel to additional sites as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic)
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA
  • 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Customer service experience in retail/service environment preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
