Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 3 months

Location: OK_WOD_950 N Porter Ave, Norman OK 73071

Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their routine health checks or for health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures. It involves direct patient contact, creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and drawing blood safely and accurately. The role requires demonstrating leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Depending on business needs, the position may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or other locations. Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately and maintain a professional environment. Responsibilities include specimen collection, verification of patient information, maintaining records, and promoting a positive image.

Job Requirements
  1. Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  5. Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
  6. Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
  8. Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
  9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  10. Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
  11. Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
  3. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  1. At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  2. Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
  3. Experience in customer service in retail or service environments preferred.
  4. Keyboard/data entry experience.
