This position assists with blood and other specimen collection, troubleshooting workflow issues, training team members, and recommending process improvements to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe laboratory operations.
This role operates in a fast‑paced clinical laboratory or hospital setting where accuracy, safety, and patient interaction are central to daily work. The Phlebotomist II regularly uses phlebotomy equipment such as straight and butterfly needles, centrifuges, specimen containers, and computer systems for labeling and data entry, including Microsoft Office Suite. Work involves frequent standing, walking, and direct contact with patients across age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients. The environment emphasizes strict compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, established specimen handling protocols, and regular departmental training. Dress typically follows standard clinical or laboratory attire appropriate for a healthcare setting, with adherence to safety and hygiene requirements.
This is a Contract position based out of Tulare, CA.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
