Job summary

Talentify is assisting a Medical Research company in Sea Girt, NJ by recruiting a Phlebotomist II. You will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices to ensure accuracy and safety.

You will interact with patients, explain procedures, maintain records, and support the supervisor with daily tasks in a professional environment, upholding confidentiality and trust.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience are required.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Sea Girt, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
