Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II at our Morganville, NJ location. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and explaining procedures to patients to build trust and confidence.

You will work under supervision to maintain accuracy and confidentiality while providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 3 years of phlebotomy experience, and preferred certifications or training in medical assisting or paramedics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients and perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures and ensure a safe, confident environment for patients.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and maintain confidentiality around patient information.
• Maintain records and documentation and perform duties accurately and on time under supervision.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Morganville, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
