Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Pompton Plains, NJ location.

Responsibilities:
  1. The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
  2. The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  3. The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  4. The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  5. Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  3. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  4. At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
  5. Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  6. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  7. Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
