Position Summary
Phlebotomist II – Lampasas, TX. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekend shifts.
Compensation
$21.50+ per hour. Salary base determined by experience, skills, certifications and may include annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions according to training.
- Confirm and verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
- Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non‑patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email.
- Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
- Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.
- Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.
Qualifications
- Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible and available per staffing needs: weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
The position requires effective communication in English.
