Responsibilities

• Perform safe venipuncture and capillary draws, including pediatric/geriatric collections.
• Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following procedures.
• Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain signatures post-venipuncture.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and trust.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with standards.
• Perform daily duties accurately under the area supervisor.

Job Details

• The Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II is responsible for providing coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.
• Phlebotomist II must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
• PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 1 year in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment. Keyboard/data entry experience.
