Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I for 1st shift in Charlotte, NC. This 3+ month contract may extend or convert, with Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and a pay rate of $19 per hour based on experience.

The role involves providing coverage at multiple locations and ensuring timely completion of phlebotomy duties while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred in CA/NV/WA.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information.

Job Details:

• The Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist I is responsible for providing coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.
• Phlebotomist I must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
• PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 1 year in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• 6 months+ years Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience
