Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP standards.
- Provide high-quality customer service to ensure a positive donor experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the work environment.
- Verify donor identification and maintain confidentiality.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
- Label all units and samples accurately.
- Perform venipunctures and operate plasmapheresis machines, ensuring safety and quality.
- Monitor donor conditions, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Handle biohazardous waste and equipment cleaning following safety protocols.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of machines.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Manage inventory and replenish supplies.
- Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform quality controls.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification or licensing as per state requirements preferred.
- Minimum three months’ experience in healthcare preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform venipunctures and interpret safety and operational instructions.
- Availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
