Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Delaware, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist I Part-Time to collect specimens and perform related duties in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role supports patient care and requires accurate data entry and adherence to procedures.

The schedule is Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑1:00 PM with rotating weekends. Pay starts at $20.00+ per hour with opportunities for an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions according to established training.
  • Research test/client information and confirm orders by utilizing lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
  • Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
  • Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information, collecting payments when required, following corporate policies.
  • Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
  • Perform non‑patient‑facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email.
  • Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
  • Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.

Phlebotomist I Part‑Time – Delaware, OH (Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑1:00 PM and rotating weekends)

Pay range: Minimum $20.00+ per hour. Salary offers are based on factors including skills, training, experience, education and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
